*Before proceeding with the below, please confirm you SIM card has been activated and is currently running an up to date Data Plan*
Please refer to the Common Location For SNM Modems page if you are unsure where to find your SNM Modem.
The SNM modem needs to Powered Off before proceeding.
Fitting SIM Card
1. locate the SIM card slot behind the cover plate, at the back of the modem. Remove the two Philips head screws to remove the plate.
2. Insure your SIM card is orientated correctly as per the below picture. Push the the SIM card in until you feel it 'click'. Note. if the SIM card is fitted incorrectly, you will require specialty tools in order to remove it.
3. Once the SIM card has been fitted, replace the cover plate
4. After the SIM has been fitted and plate refitted, reconnect the main connector and confirm both lights turn on. This will either be 2 Blue lights or 1 Green and 1 Blue, depending on the model of the modem.
5. If the modem has been configured by SITECH, please skip to section 2.9
Modem Configuration (WebUI)
2.1 On the TD5xx display, access the Home page as per below.
2.2 Select the app icon at the bottom of the screen
2.3 Select the Browser in the list of apps
2.4 At the top of the screen in the address bar, type in the following Address 192.168.88.3 (A) and tap accept (B). This will grant you access to the Modems WebUI
2.5 Once inside the WebUI, select the Setup the APN for cellular access tab
2.6 This takes you to the APN setup page. In the box next to APN, type in - Telstra.internet (if using a Telstra SIM card). Then tap on Save Settings
2.7 Once this has been saved, wait approximately 10 minutes and you will see the Internet Status change to 'Connected'
2.8 Your Modem is now active and connected to the internet
2.9 Open your EarthWorks app and login. Once the Dashboard appears, select System Status
3.0 You will now see the Modem (Gateway) active in On Machine device list.
The Modem is now active and ready to be used
