Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure:
- SiteWorks software is installed and licensed
- Controller Bluetooth is turned ON
- GNSS receiver battery is charged and powered ON
- You know the receiver’s name/serial number
- You have setup/ selected a job inside the Project Setup page
Connect via Bluetooth
Step 1: Power On Receiver
- Turn on the GNSS receiver
- Wait until it is fully booted
- Confirm Bluetooth is active (usually default on Trimble units)
Receiver Connection light should be flashing
Step 2: Open SiteWorks
- On the controller, launch Trimble SiteWorks
- Go to: Connect Device and Select GNSS
Step 3: Add / Connect Receiver
- Tap Mode
- Choose: Rover
- Select Connection type as: Bluetooth
Step 4: Scan and Pair
- Tap Search / Scan
- Select your receiver from the list
(e.g., “Trimble R780-2 -xxxx”) - Confirm pairing by selecting the receiver from the list and tap on OK
Step 5: Configure GNSS Settings (Most Common)
- Set Correction Source:
- Radio in Receiver (UHF)
- IBSS (WorksManager Base Station)
- Internet (NTRIP, VRS etc.)
Step 6: Confirming Pole & Antenna settings
- Confirm quick release is being used (Small black 40mm spacer under receiver)
- If the receiver has Tilt Compensation built in, select the correct option in Enable Tilt Compensation
- Measure the pole height you are using in the field and enter this in Antenna Height
- Tap on Accept
Step 7: Confirming Connection
on the main screen, select GNSS Status from the top of the screen
you will see the Position now as Fixed
OR
- select the Stream Status menu in the top right corner of the screen
- you can see the Base Info which show the base station you are connected to
