PDF reports provide a professional way to document measured points and COGO calculations. Reports can include point details or computation results, site photos, and comments, making them ideal for sharing survey and field information with clients, supervisors, and project teams.
Overview
PDF Reports are available in Siteworks version 1.20 and later and can be generated for:
Measured points
Control points
COGO calculations
Each report can include:
Point information or COGO results
User-entered comments
Up to three photos captured during report creation or selected from the device gallery
PDF reports are automatically saved to the current work order's Output folder.
Create a PDF Report After Measuring a Point
You can configure Siteworks to generate a report immediately after storing a point.
Complete your point measurement.
On the Measure Type screen, enable Create report after storing point.
Store the point.
The PDF Report screen will open automatically, allowing you to complete the report details.
Create a PDF Report for an Existing Point
To generate a report for an existing measured or control point:
- Locate the required point.
- Tap and hold the point.
- Select PDF Report from the pop-up menu.
The PDF Report screen will open.
Completing the Report
On the Report tab, enter the required information:
Report Title
Provide a meaningful title for the report.
Examples:
- Site Boundary Verification
- Control Point Inspection
- Stakeout Verification Report
Comments
Add any notes or observations relevant to the measurement or site conditions.
Photos
You can add up to three images by:
- Taking new photos with the device camera
- Selecting existing images from the device
Photos are embedded directly into the PDF report.
Include Photo Names
Enable Include photo names if you want the image filenames displayed within the report.
Opening the Report After Creation
Windows Devices
Enable Open file location after creation to automatically open the folder where the PDF report is saved.
Android Devices
Enable Open Report to automatically launch the PDF using the device's default PDF viewer.
Saving the Report
After completing the report information:
- Tap Save.
- Siteworks generates the PDF report.
- The report is saved in the current work order's Output folder.

Reports are saved using the following format:

Creating PDF Reports from COGO Calculations
PDF reports can also be generated from COGO computations.
To create a report:
- Complete the required COGO calculation.
- Open the Save Computation screen.
- Tap the menu option in the upper-right corner.
- Select the PDF report option.
- Complete the report details and save.
The report will include the calculation results along with any comments and photos you add.
Customising PDF Reports
Add Company Branding
Siteworks version 1.41 and later allows you to add company branding to PDF reports.
You can include:
- Company logo
- Company name
- Business address or other company information
This information appears in the report header.
Configure PDF Branding
- Open a PDF Report.
- Select the PDF Settings tab.
- Browse to and select a company logo image.
- Enter your company name and other details.
- Save the settings.
Access PDF Settings from the Main Menu
PDF settings can also be accessed directly through:
Menu > Settings > PDF Settings
This allows administrators to configure report settings before creating reports.
Configure Latitude and Longitude Format
In Siteworks version 1.73 and later, you can choose how latitude and longitude coordinates are displayed within PDF reports.
This can help align reports with client requirements or organisational standards.

Where Are PDF Reports Stored?
All PDF reports are saved in the currently open work order's:
Output folder
These reports can be copied, shared, emailed, or archived as part of project deliverables.
