The COGO (Coordinate Geometry) menu provides tools for performing calculations and creating design elements directly in the field. It’s commonly used for checking measurements, generating stakeout points, and making quick design changes on site.
Accessing the COGO Menu
- Open the Home menu (☰)
- Tap COGO
What You Can Do in COGO
The COGO menu allows you to:
- Calculate distance, bearing, slope, and area
- Generate points for stakeout using design or measured data
- Create and edit lines, boundaries, arcs, and circles
- Calculate surface volumes, including stockpiles and progress quantities
- Generate contours from measured data
- Review and fix surface issues by:
- Editing breaklines
- Deleting points or lines
COGO can also be used to build simple field designs for use in SiteWorks or machine control systems.
