The Ctrl + O menu provides access to additional system settings that help you fine‑tune how SiteWorks operates.
To open this menu, press Ctrl + O (letter O, not zero) from the main screen.
Note:
On Android devices, this menu is only accessible using a keyboard shortcut. You’ll need either:
- A virtual keyboard with a Ctrl key, or
- An external keyboard
Available Options
- Prompt for Control Check
When opening a project, SiteWorks will prompt you to verify your setup by checking in on a control point. - Prompt for Tap & Hold Check
Alerts you if the operating system’s tap-and-hold function is disabled and prompts you to enable it. - Prompt for Coordinate System Calibration
If you're using a published coordinate system, SiteWorks will prompt you to perform a GNSS calibration. - Enable Emulated Receivers & Instruments
Allows you to run SiteWorks in simulation mode, using emulated GNSS or total station devices—ideal for training or demos. - Enable Utility Locator Setup
Enables workflows for utility locating (requires the Advanced Measurement module). Show Scale Factor on Connection
Displays the Total Station scale factor settings when opening a project.Note: This option was removed in version 1.70.
- Enable NOD Export
Adds the option to export measured data as a .NOD file via the Data Management menu. Generate LAS/LAZ Verification File
Creates a verification file (LASX/LAZX) alongside your scan data. This can be used with the Trimble Integrity Check app to confirm your exported data hasn’t been modified.Available from version 1.75 onwards.
Why these matters
These settings are mainly used to:
- Improve data accuracy and validation
- Enable advanced workflows (e.g. utilities, scanning verification)
