The Panel Display tab allows you to customise the layout of the Measurement screen by selecting what information is displayed in each panel. This enables you to configure the screen to suit your workflow and focus on the information most relevant to the task at hand.
Available Panel Display Options
Plan View
Displays the standard map view in the selected panel.
Use this view to monitor measured points, design data, stakeholder information, and project features from a top-down perspective.
3D Surface Viewer
Displays the 3D Surface Viewer in the selected panel.
This view provides a three-dimensional representation of the design or measured surface, making it easier to visualise grades, slopes, and terrain features.
Information Panel
Displays the Information Panel in the selected panel.
The Information Panel provides real-time information related to the current task, including measurement and stakeout details.
Cut/Fill Lightbar
Displays the Cut/Fill Lightbar in the selected panel.
The lightbar provides a graphical indication of cut or fill relative to the design surface, helping operators quickly identify grade differences.
Horizontal Lightbar
Displays the Horizontal Lightbar in the selected panel.
This provides horizontal guidance to a selected reference line or stakeout line, helping you navigate accurately towards the required position.
Cross Section
Displays the selected Cross Section view in the chosen panel.
This view provides a side-on representation of corridor and surface designs, making it easier to review design grades and earthworks requirements.
Profile View
Displays the selected Profile View in the chosen panel.
Profile View displays elevation changes along a selected alignment or corridor, allowing you to review vertical design information.
eBubble
Displays the eBubble in the selected panel.
The eBubble provides a graphical representation of your position relative to a target point or design location, assisting with precise positioning.
Note: The eBubble cannot be displayed in the main panel.
Live Video
Displays a live video stream from a connected Trimble SX12 or SX10 Scanning Total Station.
This option is only available when connected to a compatible SX12 or SX10 instrument.
Live Video can be particularly useful when performing stakeout and measurement tasks where visual confirmation of the target area is required.
Customising Your Screen Layout
The Panel Display tab enables you to create a layout that best suits your workflow. For example:
- Display a Plan View alongside an Information Panel for general measurement tasks.
- Combine Plan View and Cross Section views when checking design grades.
- Use 3D Surface Viewer with a Cut/Fill Lightbar to visualise surface changes and grade deviations.
- Display Live Video alongside map data when working with an SX10 or SX12 instrument.
SITECH Tip: Configure panel layouts based on the task being performed. Reducing unnecessary panels and displaying only the information you need can improve visibility, simplify navigation, and increase productivity in the field.
