You can add machine productivity data, design files, and surveyed surfaces to your WorksOS project using either an automatic or manual method.
Automatic Data Processing
For 3D-enabled projects, machine productivity data (.tag files) from:
Trimble Earthworks
GCS900
PCS900
CCS900
is automatically transferred into WorksOS and processed as soon as it becomes available. No manual action is required.
You can also manually import these files if needed.
Manual File Import
In addition to machine productivity files, you can manually import:
Design surfaces (
.ttm)Linework (
.dxf)Alignments (
.svl)Surveyed surfaces (
.ttm)
To import files, select Imports > Import Files. You can then choose from the following import methods.
Import from WorksManager
WorksOS allows you to perform a one-time import of supported files from WorksManager.
Supported file types include:
DXF linework files (
.dxf)Design files (
.ttm) that have been uploaded to WorksManager as data collector designs
For each imported file, WorksOS displays:
File name
File type
Design and version information
The WorksManager user who imported the file
Import date
When a newer version of the file is available in WorksManager, it appears as a separate import in WorksOS. Existing files are only replaced when you choose to do so.
Import from Local Storage
You can upload files directly from your computer by browsing for files or using drag-and-drop.
Steps
From the Dashboard or Map screen of the selected project, click the More (⋯) menu and select Imports.
The Imported Files screen opens, displaying all files currently uploaded to the project.
Click the + button to open the Import Files window.
Browse for files or drag and drop them into the upload area.
Select the file types you want to import.
Machine Productivity Files
When importing machine productivity (.tag) files:
The data is checked against the project's boundary.
Any data located outside the project boundary is excluded from the project.
Design and Survey Files
You can also import:
Design surfaces (
.ttm)Linework (
.dxf)Alignments (
.svl)Surveyed surfaces (
.ttm)
Once imported, these files appear in the Imported Files list, where you can:
View files by type
Enable or disable file visibility
Remove files when no longer required
Note: Machine productivity (
.tag) files can only be imported into 3D-enabled projects. They cannot be automatically or manually imported into non-3D-enabled projects.
