Machine productivity data from Trimble Earthworks can be automatically transferred into WorksOS or manually imported into 3D-enabled projects.
Note: Machine productivity (
.tag) files cannot be automatically or manually imported into non-3D-enabled projects.
Automatic Data Transfer
For Earthworks productivity data to flow automatically into WorksOS:
The Earthworks device (for example, an EC520) must have an active device licence in WorksManager.
The device must be configured in the same WorksManager account associated with the WorksOS project.
For instructions on setting up a device in Works Manager, refer to the Works Manager documentation: Set Up a Device in Works Manager.
Once the device has been configured and connected, productivity data will automatically flow into WorksOS. The incoming data is then validated against the project's requirements and either accepted or rejected accordingly.
Manual Import
If required, Earthworks productivity data can also be imported manually.
Open Imports within your WorksOS project.
Drag and drop a folder containing the Earthworks data files into the Import Files window, or browse to select the folder.
Once all required files have been added, click Import.
No additional file selections or configuration steps are required during the import process.
After the import is complete, the data is processed and made available within the project.
