When using the internal GNSS or an external SPS receiver, a set of status icons appears in the top-right corner of the screen. These icons provide quick access to important GNSS information and system controls.
GNSS Status Icons
The GNSS panel typically displays the following:
Satellite & Precision Status
Tap this icon to view detailed GNSS status information.
Shows:
- Number of satellites being tracked
- Horizontal and vertical accuracy of your GNSS position
Radio Connection Status
Tap to open the Radio Information screen.
Indicates how your receiver is connected to the base station (e.g. radio or internet corrections).
Battery Status
Displays battery levels for:
- Controller
- GNSS receiver
Viewing Detailed GNSS Information
Tap the Satellite or Precision icon to open the GNSS Status screen.
By default, this opens the Sky Plot view, which shows:
- Position status (e.g. RTK Fixed/Float)
- Number of satellites used in the solution
- Horizontal, Vertical, and Position DOP values
- Tilt compensation alignment status (if enabled)
- Satellite constellation positions

Each icon in the sky plot represents a different satellite system:
GPS
BeiDou
Galileo
GLONASS
QZSS
SBAS
Unused satellites (not included in the position solution)
GNSS Settings & Controls
Within the GNSS Status screen, the Settings tab provides quick access to important options:
RTK Precision Settings
- Configure acceptable horizontal and vertical precision limits
- If limits are exceeded:
- Info bars flash red
- A warning appears before measurement
Satellite Selection
- Toggle GPS-only mode or use all GNSS constellations
Wi-Fi Control
- Enable/disable receiver Wi-Fi
- Useful for connecting to the receiver’s web interface
Tilt Compensation
- Turn tilt compensation on or off (for supported receivers)
Plumb Pole Calibration
- Access the Plumb Pole Routine
- Used to calibrate tilt-enabled receivers to your survey pole
Elevation Mask Setting
You can control which satellites are used based on their elevation angle:
- Press Ctrl + M on the controller keyboard to open the elevation mask setting
- On T7, T10, or Site Tablet 10, use the Windows on-screen keyboard to access the Ctrl key
Important:
The rover’s elevation mask also applies to base station data—any satellites below this angle will be ignored.
Radio Information Screen
Tap the Radio icon to open detailed radio settings, including:
- Radio model
- Current channel
- Base station name
- Signal reception status
You can also change the radio channel from this screen if needed.
