The Map Controls on the right side of the map screen help you navigate around your project and manage what information is displayed. This makes it easier to work with large datasets and reduce screen clutter when multiple layers are visible.
The available controls vary depending on whether you are viewing a Plan View, Cross Section, Profile View, or the 3D Surface Viewer.
Plan View, Cross Section and Profile View Controls
| Icon | Description |
|---|---|
| Center on Current Position – Centers the map on your current GPS location. | |
| Zoom to Extents – Zooms the map to display the full extent of the loaded file. | |
| Box Zoom – Zoom to a user-defined area by drawing a box on the screen using your finger or stylus. | |
| Zoom In – Increases the map zoom level. | |

3D Display Settings
The Map Display Options button opens the 3D View settings by default, allowing you to:
- Adjust the vertical exaggeration of the surface model.
- Improve visualisation of site features and grade changes.
- Control the visibility of individual scans when working with point cloud datasets.
Note: Increasing vertical exaggeration can make subtle elevation changes easier to identify during site review and design validation.
