The Measurement screen includes three configurable panels that allow you to display different views and information at the same time. Customising the panel layout can help you focus on the information most relevant to your current task, whether you are measuring, reviewing designs, or performing stakeout operations.
Configure Panel Views from Settings
You can choose which view is displayed in each panel by navigating to:
Home > Settings > Map Display Settings > Panel Display
From the Panel Display tab, select the view you want displayed in each panel.
Available views include:
- Plan View
- 3D Surface Viewer
- Information Panel
- Cut/Fill Lightbar
- Horizontal Lightbar
- Cross Section
- Profile View
- eBubble
- Live Video (SX10/SX12 only)
Quickly Change a Panel View
To quickly change the view displayed in the top or bottom panel:
- Select the ▼ Panel Selection icon located in the lower-left corner of the panel.
- Choose the required view from the pop-up menu.
- The selected view will immediately display in that panel.
This provides a faster alternative to navigating through the Settings menu.
Switch a Side Panel to the Main Panel
To display the contents of a side panel in the larger main viewing area:
- Select the Panel Switch
icon located in the bottom-right corner of the side panel.
- The selected panel will be promoted to the main panel display.
This is useful when you need a larger view of information such as:
- Cross Sections
- Profile Views
- 3D Surface Viewer
- Information Panels
Collapse or Expand Side Panels
To maximise the map viewing area, you can collapse the side panels.
To collapse or expand the side panels:
- Select the small grey arrow located on the lower-left edge of the main panel.
- The side panels will be hidden or displayed as required.
This is particularly useful when working with detailed design surfaces or large project maps.
Panel Display Limitations
eBubble
The eBubble can only be displayed in a side panel.
Note: The eBubble cannot be displayed in the main panel.
Live Video
The Live Video option is only available when connected to a compatible:
- Trimble SX10 Scanning Total Station
- Trimble SX12 Scanning Total Station
When connected, a live camera feed can be displayed within a panel to assist with measurement and stakeout workflows.
SITECH Tip: For general site measurement tasks, many users find a combination of Plan View, Information Panel, and 3D Surface Viewer provides the best balance between navigation, data visibility, and surface visualisation.
